In February 2011 Shaw House was chosen by TD Bank to attend the TD Garden for the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magics game. Young people and staff from Shaw House were accompanied by TD Bank staff and enjoyed the event of a lifetime … A huge THANK YOU to TD Bank!

How You Can Help

Shaw House greatly appreciates donations of all types. The most common donation types are monetary, item and service donations.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations are the most versatile of any donation option and can be made by check or online by using the button below. Please make checks payable to Community Care with Shaw House within the memo.

Service Donations

If you are able to donate services of a company, such as advertising, painting, tutoring, or any other pertinent service please contact us.

Item Donations

Item donations from our Wish List (below) are always appreciated and can be dropped off at the address above.

To drop off donations, please bring them to the First Street entrance any time between 8am and 7pm daily, and the Union Street entrance 7pm until 8am.

Non-perishable food items may also be dropped off at TDBanks in the Bangor/Brewer area or at the Shaw House.

Our Funding Needs

Ideally finding some sources of funding for building repairs, replacements and building improvements and maintenance …these are always big budget expenses … often hard to find.

Of course items like food, clothing, personal hygiene items, basic needs items, bus passes, some funding for items such as an ID or getting copies of birth certificates, recreation activities like YMCA passes and school supplies for shelter and street youth … these are all constants on our wish lists!
