Youth Engagement Specialist –
This position is being offered with a $1500 Sign On Bonus for Overnight YES’s and $1000 Sign On Bonus for YES’s (pro-rated for part time)
- Part Time or Full Time – Evenings/Weekends/Overnights
Responsibilities of the Youth Engagement Specialist include: providing overall supervision, monitoring and safety of the residents during shifts, including support and crisis intervention as needed; acting as a liaison between residents and case managers and the program manager; monitoring the safety of the building during shifts The individual in this position must be able to work flexible hours, possess an understanding of trauma and its impact on youth, and demonstrate a willingness to learn effective strategies to engage youth. The part time position involves weekend day/night hours.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field OR High School Diploma and 1 year of related experience. Hourly Wage- $15.00/ Overnights- $15.50
Central Coordinator –
$1500 Sign On Bonus (pro-rated for part time)

The Central Coordinator (CC) will be located onsite at Shaw House and will be responsible to provide administrative support to all programs of Shaw House (Shelter, Transitional Living Program, Day Program, and Outreach). This is a full time, Monday through Friday, daytime position with additional on call hours, and the hourly wage is $16.35. Duties of the CC will include data entry/running reports from the electronic record system, Quality Assurance/Improvement activities, ordering of supplies, coordination of building maintenance, assisting with hiring tasks, and filing. The person in this position must: be comfortable interacting with youth who are homeless or at risk of being homeless, be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, and have good boundaries/high level of professionalism.
Qualifications: A minimum of one year of administrative experience and a high school diploma is required with an Associate’s Degree being preferred. Experience in social services is a plus.
Case Manager (Homeless Youth Shelter) –
$2,000 Sign on Bonus

The person in this position will provide Case Management services to youth at risk for, or who are currently experiencing, homelessness. The Case Manager will need to be adept at problem solving, researching community resources, and connecting youth to other supports. The CM will assist in coordinating new groups in order to meet the educational and support needs of youth. The individual in this position must demonstrate flexibility in order to work a diverse schedule to have presence during non-traditional working hours.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one (1) years’ experience working in Case Management. Hourly Wage: $19.23
Youth Transition Coordinator –
$2,000 Sign on Bonus

Openings in the following areas: Bangor, Ellsworth, Dover-Foxcroft
The Youth Transition Coordinator (YTC) will be responsible for assisting youth within the YHDP Transitional Housing/Rapid-Rehousing (TH/RRH) and Mobile Diversion Program. In the TH/RRH Program, the YTC will assist youth in securing and maintaining housing through use of the Housing First Model. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, cultivating and maintaining relationships with landlords, linking youth with both transitional and rapid-rehousing options, and providing individualized support for youth throughout their participation in the program. In the Mobile Diversion Program, the YTC will locate homeless youth through conducting street and community outreach, and assist in diverting youth from homelessness and/or linking youth with resources, supports, and housing options.
The YTC will be guided by the Four Core Outcomes of YHDP which will underscore the intervention with each youth:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one years’ experience working in case management. $19.23 per hour.
